. . . Paint Chip Coasters . . .

Don't you love finding a project that looks like a million bucks but cost basically pennies? I know I do!  I am going to be doing a Week of Paint Chip Projects!  The Paint Chips are free at home improvement stores and there are so many creative things you can use to make them.  If you have done a neat project please leave a link in the comment section because I'd love to check it out.

Today I made Paint Chip Coasters--so easy.  I purchased $.29 tiles at Lowe's and gathered a bunch of paint chips and Mod Podge and now I have a great set of Coasters.  I know I'll be making these again for gifts because they turned out great and they are super inexpensive but no one would ever guess that.

The Crafty CPA has a fantastic tutorial to look at HERE.

 • You will need Paint Chips, Scissors, Felt, Mod Podge, Foam Brush and a Pen
• Place your tile over the paint chip to position it the way you want it.  Flip it over and trace on the back side of the paint chip.
• Cut the chip down to the size you want for your tile
• Brush Mod Podge over entire tile

• Place your precut Paint Chip on the tile and coat with Mod Podge.
• I did 4 coats on mine. Be sure to let them dry between coats
• Cut felt out to fit the tile
• You will need your felt, tile and Mod Podge for this step

• Coat entire bottom of tile with Mod Podge
• Place the felt on top of the Mod Podged tile
• Smooth felt down and let it dry completely
• The finished tiles look awesome!
* Don't brush the Mod Podge on the felt because it seeps through and leave
wet looking spots but if you brush it directly on the tile it won't.
